Identifying grounded pallets vehicle
DESCRIPTION
Following the experience of the “Rinascimento Tecnologico” Project, Robosense has developed a system capable of recognizing and precisely locating grounded pallets. This project has been a natural evolution of the SmartFinder. Unlike the latter, which uses a laser scanner and a camera as measuring systems, the use of technologies based on TOF 3D cameras has enhanced the number of information achievable and at the same time and increased the robustness of the system.
In collaboration with Mad Automation Srl (previously Tiber automation), it has been developed a vehicle capable of identifying grounded pallets placed in the front space of the vehicle without requiring particular flatness conditions of the floor and capable of carrying out the planned route for the pallet picking. A working prototype was presented at the IPACK-IMA fair in Milan.
